Out of the Silent Planet (Strangers and Aliens book club)

This month our book club selection has been Out of the Silent Planet -- hailed as not just a great work of Christian literature, but also a ground breaking work of sci-fi because of the way it handled aliens and alien landscapes.

    Here's our GoodReads group: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/93982-strangers-and-aliens-book-club

And here's our latest episode, getting into the background of Out of the Silent Planet -- SPOILER FREE -- if you've never read the book, you will find reasons why you should, how it fits into C.S. Lewis' body of work, what inspired him, etc. For example, J.R.R. Tolkien gave Lewis TWO points of inspiration for the book. You'll have to listen to find out what they are! If you have read the book, I think you'll still enjoy the podcast as it explores the origins of this classic book!
