I think I'll like it. Maybe too much story, but I'm optimistic!

I'm really curious what I'll think of a Star Wars story without Jedi(I assume)!

Either way, looks like it could be some cool sci-fi, regardless of my expectations. And hopefully somewhat character driven, as the trailer implies.

When is it set? Is that the first Death Star?

I've heard rumors about Vader being in this movie so we might get to see some Lightsaber action.

it's set shortly before A New Hope so yeah that is the first Death Star

I wasn't excited until I saw the trailer. Now, I'm really looking forward to it.
My biggest hope is that it is a fantastic scifi story set in the Star Wars universe, NOT a Star Wars story. Neutral What I mean is that we have seven movies about Jedi and a family's squabbles... we don't really need more of that. Give us something different.

The trailer did its job. I'm excited for this film. Also, we'll get to see those elusive Bothans in action!

I was mildly-interested in this until now, my focus being more on Episode 7. For me, Star Wars has always been about lightsabres.
However, this trailer did something to me. This is very classic star wars. I'm finding myself feeling very excited for the movie. I'm not sure I can articulate why exactly, but seeing those star destroyers and death star rendered beautifully with modern effects, and getting the impression we'll have some very interesting characters in here, I'm pretty enthusiastic for it.

I expect my excitement for the Han Solo prequel will also grow when we starting seeing something tangible.

I heard the original trilogy is coming back to theaters. Anyone want to bet that after Rogue One we'll see ANOTHER version of the original trilogy with Rogue One characters inserted into it digitally?

Oh wait, Lucas sold to Disney, didn't he? Never mind.... ;-)

Second trailer. Like a lot of things about it. Like the tone, with bits of humor. Curious to know if her sidekick is Wedge Antilles, mostly because he ends up leading Rogue Squadron later on, and a story with more focus on him would be nice, too.

Thought I had the video linked here, sorry, but it should be there now.

Says the guy who just released the THIRD version of his first sci-fi audio drama. Freakin' HYPOCRITES in this community!

I'm digging on the established tone so far, too! They may actually get me anticipating Star Wars movies again!

Another trailer, I'd guess one of the last ones before the release.

They are doing such a great job of taking these 70's visual designs and "grounding them". All these visuals that look so much like plastic to me when I re-watch the original movies somehow work and feel like part of a real world in these trailers.

I think I might not like the replacement of Jedi with these sort of "wanna be" Jedi it looks like they're using. I might prefer a Star Wars movie with almost no force talk over having characters that talk about it frequently but aren't really trained in using it well.

I'm also really curious about how Vader will look and what he'll do. With no Jedi to oppose him he'll just cream anybody who stands in his way.

I know the books are heretical non-canonical, but weren't Bothans furry almost dog-like guys?
I could have sworn I saw one in one of the movies as well.

Perhaps this is just another example of Hollywood human-washing its stories.

Oh, and I got super excited watching trailer #2
