Where to get Free Music for your Production

Post  Hackmodford on December 7th 2010, 3:29 pm

I'm writing this as a reference to other mixers.

Right now I think the best place to get free music is jamendo.com

When you go to the website look at the bottom for the link that says Creative Commons

After that link you'll notice a search box on the right side of the page.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "Find content I can modify, adapt or build upon."

After you've checked the box type in your search term. I recommend "Soundtrack"

Another good one is Kevin MacLeod's Website Incompetech

He has a good selection of music.

incompetech.com is also a good place too. Been using Kevin's stuff for some time now.

Also, if you have a favorite indie band they will often let you use their music too if you credit them on your site.
