    What if thoughts

Post  WhiteBoy on April 22nd 2011, 10:13 am

This started out as a reply to the May 21st thread, but decided it was too off topic so needed it's own thread.

I've had a similar "what if" thought to this guy's May 21 2011 theory. I've never even put enough stock in my thought to even really research in the Bible, because I know that trying to predict Jesus' return is an effort in futility. But I've thought "what if" the 7,000 years is a prediction of how long the earth would last. What if it mimics creation week. So there would be 6,000 years of our normal world and the last 1,000 years (the Millennial Reign) would be "restful" just as the last day of creation week was.

Anyway, I know it has very little merit...totally a what if. Anyone else have what if thoughts they've had?

Our church group has the same thought as you... It's a neat idea IMHO

The guy behind this "Harold Camping" has made numerous predictions before . . . and was obviously wrong. A few years ago now he declared that the church-age had come to an end . . . people should leave their churches and only tithe to his radio station.

"If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him." (Deu 18:22 NIV)
