    Script Writing Software

Post  Paeter on June 21st 2011, 2:24 pm

Maybe it was on the old yahoo version of this group or maybe I'm smoking crack, but I seem to remember getting some recommendations of software to use for script writing a long time ago. One was a template for Word and one or two others were programs all to themselves. All free stuff, too. But I can't find any record of them here on the forums.

So does anyone have any recommendations of software that makes it really easy to write/format scripts? (I wrote all of Spirit Blade and Dark Ritual on Notepad but I'm open to change.)

    Thanks!

In fact, I think it's the one I remember someone here recommending a long time ago. So far I dig it.

    Thanks again!

I use Final Draft (expen$$ive) for stageplays and screenplays. It says it can do Radio Dramas . . . but it doesn't do them very well.

I've been using a radio template from:
    http://www.ruyasonic.com/wrt_template.htm

They also have a helpful tutorial that helped me with formatting.

Well, it's not something I want to spend money on, but thanks for the info, Nathan!

Sorry . . . I realized the vagueness of my post.

Final Draft is expensive and not very good at formatting radio drama

The link I have there is a free template for MS WORD.

That's the format I like the best... celtx is very similar to it.
