All too often I hear people define faith as being "believing in something that cannot be seen." And that's true, to a point. Especially in light of the verse from Hebrews: "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." But note that's it's not just the "blind faith" that Peater warned against. There is the implication of trust -- confidence and assurance in someone (in this case, God).
