    New Podcast: PROFESSOR NEGATRON

Post  BenAvery on November 24th 2012, 10:34 pm

Professor Negatron is a Strangers and Aliens production, and a bit of an experiment. http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/

It's a movie review podcast in the vein of Screwtape Letters, if instead of an advice dispensing demon teaching us about morality it was a self-absorbed supervillain liking and disliking movies and pop culture for pretty much all the wrong reasons.

Three episodes have been posted so far, with new episodes every Sunday. Episodes clock in at about ten minutes.

So far the professor has reviewed the summer superhero movies: http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/episode-1-summer-superhero-movies/

And the Star Wars saga: http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/ep-2-the-star-wars-saga/

    And, finally, Skyfall: http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/ep-3-skyfall/

This week's episode is a "retro review" (to borrow the phrase) of the Superman movies.

    Here's Professor Negatron's latest reviews:

    The Hobbit -- http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/hobbit/

    Christmas Movies -- http://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/ep-7-christmas-cheese/

    Les Miserables -- hhttp://negatron.strangersandaliens.com/ep-8-les-miserables/

I haven't gotten much feedback about Professor Negatron, but since each episode is less than ten minutes and doesn't take too much time to produce and I'm REALLY enjoying doing it . . . I think I'm going to keep doing it.

Truthfully broseph, I've listened to two of them (Skyfall and the Christmas one). I wasn't a big fan of them. It was an interesting concept but for some reason that I can''t pin my finger on it didn't just click with me. If there's a film I like that you guys review in this style I might listen, otherwise I don't think its somethin' I'll be regularly listen to.

Well, brosiah, if you DO put your finger on it, let me know. I always take negative criticism into consideration! I don't always act on it . . . but I do consider it. Smile

I just finished listening to the Hobbit review, and I think it's mainly the voices. I just don't dig modulated voices for long uninterrupted stretches of conversation.

That's just my view of the medium though, I do enjoy the content though.
